Twitter’s getting more and more media attention lately—perfect time to make the most of it! Brussels Twestival is back, and this time it’s all about supporting a local cause or charity. Quick reminder: the last edition aimed to raise awareness around the issue of clean drinking water.

Twestival is a party that brings the social media community together to raise money for charity. It’s a great night with bands, DJs, and demonstrations of new ideas.

From 12 August to 12 September, people can vote on which charity projects should benefit from the funds raised. The recipients of the funding will be announced on the night.

Here’s the deal: it’s happening on 12 September 2009 at Addictlab (in Brussels), and tickets are on sale through the Twestival site. For more info, check the website or follow @brutwestival on Twitter.

Heads up: we’re still looking for sponsors, media partners, and charity projects! If you think you can help, don’t hesitate to reach out to Christian De Neef (@cdn).
